DEAR CLUB MEMBERS – OUR FIRST BIG FUND-RAISER IS IN THE WORKS AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

We have the opportunity to make quite of bit of money for our club which means bigger and better club programs for all skaters! Here’s the scoop:

EVENT: WARRIOR-DASH NORTHWEST

An extreme 6K race that has racers climbing over cargo nets, crawling through

Mud and jumping through fire. Warrior Dash is an all day running event, complete with mud, live music and turkey legs!

LOCATION: Horning’s Hideout

21277 Northwest Brunswick Canyon Road

North Plains, OR 97133

DATES: September 11th and 12th

Shift #1 Saturday September 11, 2010 7:00am-1:00pm

Shift #2 Saturday September 11, 2010 Noon-6:00pm

Shift #3 Sunday September 12, 2010 7:00am-1:00pm

Shift #4 Sunday September 12, 2010 Noon-6:00pm

Our club can make $1000.00 for each 25 people we assign to each of these shifts. Sign up for 2 shifts if you can! If we take on 2 shifts we can earn $2250 (an extra $250.00 free!) NOTE: We may only take 2 shifts on the same day depending upon the number of people signing up. We will let you know the final date and times. Of course, we would love to cover them all – potential of $4500.00

Red Frog Events is the Event Coordinators for this event and they try to make volunteering as fun as participating in this event! As volunteers you receive a t-shirt, food throughout the day and access to all live-music and festival like atmosphere, in addition to earning a significant donation, they will also feature our organization’s logo on the Warrior Dash webpage with a link to our webpage.

What they are looking for:

They are looking to partner with local organizations in order to create a full Rockstar staff for the weekend! They need a minimum of 25 volunteers (at least 16 years old) to staff the event: **Below is an example of some volunteer tasks for the day. Actual tasks may vary and will be assigned on race day.

Check-in / Packet pick-up (Assist in the distribution of race packets to racers)

Supervising course obstacles for participant safety and cheering them on

Stationed at ‘Pyramid Brewery Watering Hole’ booths (turkey legs, t-shirt stand, etc.)

Start and finish lines water distribution & congratulatory section. Parking. Taking Photos.
